My name is Suzanne (or Susan if we’re speaking Spanish) and I am a 20-something American living in the DR. In 2012 I graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Early Childhood Education, Spanish, Bible, and Teaching English. That August I moved to San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic and taught English for four wonderful, hard, funny, stretching, memorable years. In June of 2016 I decided to trust my gut (which is where the Spirit lives) and move to the mountains of Jarabacoa. I’m taking a break from teaching and instead doing the hard work of learning something new. Now I meet all kinds of interesting and exciting and precious people from all over the world at my new job as manager of Jarabacoa Mountain Hostel. Whatever my vocation I always take as much time as I can to read and write.
I write about what I like. I like God, Harry Potter, tacos, sit down games, braiding my hair, reading books, going to the movies, writing, a healthy self-esteem, my pets, and Netflix. (More about me)
